3 months!

The twins turned 3 months old yesterday!  They had their NICU doctor follow up appointment on Wednesday, and we were told they don't need to come back because they are doing so well.  They are still suffering from reflux, but they are gaining weight, so the doctor wasn't too worried.  David weighed in at 9 lbs, 11 oz, and Margot was 7 lbs, 6 oz!  We also had Margot's follow up eye appointment (David had "graduated" from the last one), and she was deemed "mature"!  Hooray!

Friday was a wonderful day as Uncle David arrived from Japan and met the twins for the first time!

Back to work

Today is my last day before going back to work!  12 weeks of maternity leave have flown by.  I am apprehensive about how tomorrow will go (logistically - getting ready for work, getting the twins ready to go to my parents', etc).....Hopefully I can get to bed early tonight!

We had our first walk a couple of days ago!  The weather here has been unseasonably gorgeous, so we decided to take advantage of that.  The cuties aren't quite big enough for their new side-by-side double stroller (that work gave me - thanks!), so we used the double snap-n-go that holds their car seats.  We planned our route and then panicked because we got all the way past the mid-point and found that a bridge we needed to cross was out.  Totally out.  No way to cross over.  There really was no alternative but to back-track, so our hour long walk ended up being an hour and a half.  David started screaming his hunger scream about 4 houses away from our house, so it worked out.  But whoa, that was a close one!  :)

Martha and Chris came over on Friday night, and after we put the babies to bed we went outside for a fire.

4th of July and other pictures

Aunt Jane was in town, so we had the Titteringtons over to my parents' for the 4th of July.  Baba had gotten cute matching stars & stripes outfits for David and Margot.

For fun, here is the picture of the deep freeze we have full of milk in the garage.  We also have our regular freezer full (and some of our other regular freezer in the garage).  This is why Bubba has taken to calling me the dairy queen!:

Pictures and Pounds!

Hello from twin land!  Everything is going well with David and Margot.  We just had our final home health visit, and the most exciting part was getting their weights.  Margot is now 6 lbs, 8 oz.  And David is 8 lbs!  Hooray!!!  That means he is big enough for the Baby Bjorn (something for which I was really excited).  Here is a picture of us checking it out:

Jane is in town!  It has been wonderful.  My family has been sooooo helpful with these babies.  In fact, Jane and Mom have even done night duty twice - the twins love spending the night at Baba and Da's, and I love getting more than an hour of sleep in a row!  Yesterday we spent the day over at casa Titterington, and Marci came to visit with Joe, Will, and Anna!  It was a lot of fun.

I spend most of my time feeding David and Margot (and changing diapers)....but there is a little bit of time left over for play.  David LOVES the swing Marci gave him, and Margot loves her bouncy seat.

That's all for this update.  I will leave you with a sweet picture of Margot sleeping....
